Today I had a re-read of Robert Kiyosaki's The Business School for People Who Like Helping People. This book is Robert's view of the network marketing business and why he thinks that it makes good sense to get involved in it. He describes the 8 Hidden Values of a network marketing business other than making money.

It's an easy read and takes a couple of hours to get by quickly but there's quite a bit of take-aways that can be had from it. It is certainly good to note that he cites the building of You Inc. (as mentioned in Mike Dillard's Magnetic Sponsoring) as a critical factor in researching network marketing companies.

If you look at network marketing companies from his perspective, it makes good sense for those that are employed or self-employed (E and S quadrants) to enter the B and I quadrants with low barrier to entry, provided that one is prepared to work for it.

I know that this book is part of the network marketer's arsenal to educate the general public about network marketing as well as an unbiased endorsement about the network marketing industry. So if you are doing your due diligence, this book should be an interesting read. Note that Robert is not involved in network marketing.

Hello and Happy Labor Day to all.

I'm presently reviewing Max Steingart's Endless Leads Today online course and going through the material slowly. Well, having a slow broadband connection doesn't help either.

The course revolves around expanding your network and prospecting using social networks like MySpace. This is on an attraction based approach and not the aggressive salesy type approach taken by the traditional network marketers. Plenty of scripts and  approaches and generous comments by Mr.Steingart helps the newbie get started quickly. This is certainly something to look at for newbies and even veterans who are clueless about using social networks to build businesses.

I personally find this course helpful in getting my approaches correct and I think you will benefit from it as well. You can find the course here. By being a student you can also be an affiliate and make some money as you go along. Test drive the course for 3 days and let me know what you think.
